We once read that the Christian Faith can be summed up in one word—nevertheless. As in, “Nevertheless; not my will, but thy will be done.”
We often have our list of “preferences.” We think, “This is what I want, when I want it, and how I want it to be.” We can often get stuck because we are shackled to our plan.
It is wiser to recognize the need that you want met. Then pray, asking for wisdom and Divine Order in the situation. If we know that our mind is connected to the Divine Mind, then we can pray, “Nevertheless; not my will, but thy will be done.”
