From the time Carlton was six, he had a curious mind and wanted to know about the world, especially people and their concepts and ideas. Both his parents were in the Salvation Army. His father was the youngest major in the world, having been made a captain at eighteen.
His mother taught English in Cuba. His dad ministered in Nicaragua and Panama. Studying the Bible, Carlton was full of questions to which his parents responded, “The Bible is the word of
God.” But this didn’t stop his natural curiosity which continues to this day.
